Moncler x Pharrel Williams @ Collete
Fall is a couple months away but this vest is on my must have list for sure. Created by Pharrel Williams and Italian down maker Moncler.This collaborative collection between Pharrell and Moncler comes as a great, urban follow up to Moncler’s recent onslaught of collaborative projects with labels such as Thom Browne, Sacai, and visvim. In Pharrell’s tough urban aesthetics, he drew inspiration from the military-styled bulletproof vest and added a “forest” print lining inspired by Keita Sugiura’s work. These vests have also been crafted from Bionic Yarn, a three-year old textile company owned by Pharrell which makes yarn out of recycled plastic bottles.
